Waarschijnlijk één van mijn minst vrolijke werken waar ik mee bezig ben. Het verhaal is geïnspireerd op herinneringen aan mijn geboortedorp, met de nadruk op geïnspireerd. Bijna alles is fictief of ernstig vervormd.
Ik heb een kleine proefoplage van 15 stuks gedrukt, maar er moet hier en daar nog aan gesleuteld worden. Vandaar dat ik nog niet de volledige strip online laat zien.

A windowpainting I made for the opening of Pand 14. A new cultural center in the south-east of Amsterdam. The paintings are based on dualism and transformation.

At this moment, we (me, Piers Goffart and Kathi Kierach) are very busy with our first comicmagazine.
It will include some short horrorstories and one-page horrorillustrations. One of my short stories is almost finished now. Here is a sneak preview at the first two pages.

Every week a new warrior. This time, the Tokka Trollaard
Slow of understanding and a bit disorganised are the main characteristics of the Tokka Trollaard.
Yet their raw bone crushing power and agility brings them a long way.
They will club you to death, just to add another skull to their collection.

Every week a new warrior. This time, the Gørnoth Snørboth
Rough men, hardened by the cold wind and fed by the warm liquor and red meat.
Those are the Gørnoth Snørboths,
whose moustaches are filled with snot and frozen blood.

Every week a new warrior. This time, He, Who is Covered in Mist.
He, Who is Covered in Mist, is in actuality not covered in mist, but simply invisible.
The mist stands for his mistique nature, or rather irritating mysterious act.
To make matters worse he is also a master swordsman and very accurate.

Every week a new warrior. This time, The Slashing Sultriss.
The Slashing Sultrisses, also known as the balerinas of death, are bloodthirsty and completely psychotic.
A Slashing Sultriss never speaks, they only communicate trough gestures and movement.

Every week a new warrior. This time, The Trinity Granulith.
The Trintiy Granulith is a giant with a personality disorder, three personalities to be exact.
His mood can change within a second and a twitch from calm to disturbed, to raging anger.
A powerful warrior, but hard to control and impossible to be around.

Every week a new warrior. This time, the Poisen Spit Ratchet.
The Poisen Spit Ratchets are reckless and dangerous warriors.
They are immune to their own acid, but that doesn’t count for their clothes.
That’s why they like to fight naked.

Every week a new warrior. This time, the Khip Kheep Warrior.
The Khip Keep warriors of the Khip Keep Clan (indeed clan with a “C”, for obvious reasons) know no fear, and are very deadly.
They are famed by their sarcastic black humour, due to their deceased condition.

Now busy with making a horror comic magazine together with illustrator Frederic dupont and comic artist Piers Goffart. One of my works will be an adaptation of Viy, a short gothic horror story written by Ukraine novelist Nicolai Gogol.
